God Meets You Everyday…!
Most of us imagine God as a distant entity, sitting somewhere in the heavens, far away from our daily lives. We look for Him in temples, churches, mosques, and sacred places. We keep fasts, perform rituals, sing hymns, and whisper prayers, thinking He might appear one day if we are worthy enough. But have you ever paused to ask: Is God really sitting in some corner of the sky, or could it be that He is right here; so close, so near; that we simply fail to recognise Him?
What if God comes to meet us every day, every moment, and we unknowingly pass Him by?
This thought may seem simple, but its truth is deep, transformative, and life-changing. Once you realise it, you can never look at life the same way again.
The Invisible Presence:
Every morning, when you open your eyes, God greets you. Not in thunder or lightning, but in silence, in stillness, in subtlety. Our worldly eyes see only the external; the body, the objects, the fleeting appearances. But the Divine is not captured by sight. He is witnessed only by the awakened soul; the inner consciousness that stirs when we look inward for peace, when we balance the mind and the spirit, when we awaken to our true self.
A man’s real self is not his body, nor even his restless thoughts. It is the pure consciousness that connects with the omnipresent soul flowing through every creature, every moment, every experience.
How Does God Appear?
He does not descend from the skies with golden robes or a radiant crown. Instead, He slips gently into your life through love, kindness, and compassion.
- He is in your mother’s heart, when without a word she knows you are unwell.
- He is in the stranger’s smile that lifts your mood.
- He is in the gentle hand that picks you up when you stumble.
- He is in the whisper of courage that tells you, “Get up again, all will be well.”
- He is in the hug that heals your heartbreak, the quiet blessing of an elder, the laughter of a friend, the twinkle in a child’s eye.
Every act of kindness is His touch. Every tear wiped away is His presence. Every moment of love is God meeting you.
Why Don’t We See Him?
The truth is; He is always here. But our vision is blurred by Ego, Greed, Fear, and Restlessness. Life’s noise drowns out His voice. We complain, “Why does God remain far from me?” But the truth is, He never leaves. He calls us every moment; we simply do not listen.
His voice never shouts; it whispers. It is heard not in chaos, but in calmness, patience, and silence. That is why meditation becomes so important; it clears the fog, creates stillness, and allows us to recognise His presence within and around us.
Just as closing your eyes doesn’t make the world disappear, not seeing God with physical eyes doesn’t mean He is absent. He is here, everywhere, always.
A Living Temple:
God doesn’t ask you to renounce the world. He doesn’t demand that you run away to forests or mountains. Every human heart can become a living temple if only we become conscious of His presence.
- He is in your parents’ quiet sacrifices.
- He is in your guru’s teachings.
- He is in your friend’s laughter.
- He is in your lover’s heart.
- He is in your own breath, your own soul.
The Divine is not an occasional visitor; it is the constant companion.
When Did You Last Meet God?
Pause for a moment and recall:
- Was it in the peace of a sunrise as you sipped your morning tea?
- Was it in the pages of a book that touched your soul?
- Was it in the kind eyes of an old stranger blessing you quietly?
- Or was it when someone held your hand in your loneliest hour?
That was God; meeting you, smiling at you, assuring you.
The Final Realisation:
God is not a distant ruler to be sought only in rituals. He is the very spirit of goodness within every human being and every moment of kindness. When you are kind, when you forgive, when you uplift, when you love; you are not alone, God Himself flows through you.
So the next time someone speaks to you gently in your storm, or wipes your tears when you are broken, don’t dismiss it as mere coincidence. Recognise it for what it truly is; God meeting you, again and again, every single day.
That is my theory of God’s presence: He is not away from us; He is within us, among us, and around us. Every moment of love is a divine meeting. All we need is the awareness to see it.
